Change the oil while the oil is warm so that contaminants which causes trouble to the system will be removed.
The contaminants will be condensed as it gets cool and reduce efficiency of pump. In an extreme case, the oil will not lubricate and the pump will stop. You cannot judge whether or not the oil contains contaminants by the color of oil.
The only way to determine the condition of oil is to test vacuum by using electro vacuum gauge. |
